Combos and special powers: beginner tips for Ninja King Adventures
What do the combo counter, lives and power bar mean? Learn when to use Lightning Slice, Time Bubble and the other gestures.

A combo is a streak of successful collections
In Ninja King Adventures, the combo counter rises as you collect normal gameplay objects in succession. Catching several targets in one movement can contribute to the streak, but a combo isn't simply the number of fruit sliced at once. The score multiplier grows as the streak continues, and certain combo milestones award extra diamonds. Keeping your slices going matters more than rushing.
In a normal round, missing a fruit or slicing a bomb resets the combo counter and costs a life. Cutting everything on screen in a single sweep isn't always the right choice. If fruit is close to a bomb, think about where the slicing trail will go. Catching a target from a safe angle can be easier than sweeping the whole area with one large, uncontrolled movement.
Get to know each of the five gestures
Your index finger is the basic control: move it from side to side in the air to slice objects. Other gestures activate specific powers. First try each one separately in the opening tutorial so you can connect the hand shape with its on-screen result.
- Two-finger V sign: Lightning Slice collects safe objects on screen without slicing bombs.
- Index, middle and ring fingers held up: Time Bubble temporarily slows objects down.
- Closed fist: Magic Magnet gathers safe objects toward the center and pushes bombs away.
- All five fingers open: Super Power becomes available when the power bar is full.
Holding a power gesture is different from using it again
Holding a special gesture in front of the camera doesn't trigger a power repeatedly. Powers share a cooldown; to use one again, first release your previous gesture. The on-screen power status helps you understand whether to wait or change your hand shape. When the indicator is ready, make the gesture again clearly.
If a power isn't working, check more than the lighting. Lightning Slice needs safe objects on screen to collect; Super Power needs a full energy bar. Your entire hand also needs to be visible in the frame. Returning to normal slicing, reading the indicator and trying again makes more sense than repeating the same pose more forcefully.
Choose between lives, stars and time
The heart bonus adds a life; stars help fill your Super Power energy. Noticing these gives you more options than focusing only on fruit. When you're low on lives, a safely placed heart may be your priority. If the power bar is nearly full, look at the star's position, but don't cross a bomb to reach it.
Time Bubble can give you room to read object paths in a busy scene. Magic Magnet brings targets together in the center, and you can follow with normal slicing. Lightning Slice collects safe targets. Instead of using every power as soon as it's ready, look at the objects and choose what you need right then.
You don't need bigger movements when difficulty increases
As your score progresses, the game's pace and the number of targets on screen change gradually. Difficulty is separate from the world selected in the shop: choosing Candy Land doesn't itself mean a faster round. In busier scenes, watch short slicing paths, your lives and the power indicator together.
Pick one small goal for your next round: beat your previous best combo, use a power at a deliberate moment or spot bombs earlier. You can consider both your best combo and total score on the results screen. A long streak won't happen every round; seeing how different decisions work out helps you find your own playing style.
